A pontoon is a type of floating device. It is a structure containing airtight and hollow barrels used to add buoyancy. Due to this, the pontoons become water-resistant and virtually unsinkable. Pontoon boats are flat-decked.
Pontoons consist of hollow barrels or box-like structures to float effortlessly on the water achieving stability and buoyancy so that the owner need not have to worry about the load that the pontoon is going to carry.
